Baylor College of Medicine today begins an extensive brand campaign to highlight its achievements and vision in education, research, healthcare and community service.
“Scientists throughout the world recognize us as a research powerhouse. Our patients know us as having the top specialists in treating disease. Students hope for acceptance into our highly ranked programs, and the community relies on our service. But, we have never pushed that message through a consistent brand. That’s changing now,” said Dr. Paul E. Klotman, president and CEO of Baylor College of Medicine.

Its National School of Tropical Medicine is the only one in the country to focus only on tropical diseases.
Baylor Physicians in the Texas Medical Center
The physicians of Baylor College of Medicine see patients at Ben Taub Hospital, multiple Harris Health Community Clinics, the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Memorial Hermann – The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, the Menninger Clinic and Houston Methodist. The College also has an affiliation with MD Anderson Cancer Center and most recently, became the academic partner for Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. Baylor has two major multi-specialty outpatients facilities in Houston now – the Baylor Clinic on Main Street and the Lee and Joe Jamail Specialty Care Center on the McNair Campus. The next major expansion will be at the Baylor College of Medicine Medical Center, within the next several months.
“Many of the patients who come to the Texas Medical Center for care are seeing a Baylor College of Medicine physician,” said Klotman. “We want to be sure we make that point that our physicians are playing a major role in the health of Houston every day.”
The brand, “Giving Life to Possible,” was created by Olson, a national agency that excels in building brand communities.
